This book represents the culmination of over twenty years of in-depth research and study into the origins of Palestinian embroidery and the development of Palestinian dresses in various museums around the world. It traces the evolution of Arab textile arts from antiquity through the Middle Ages to the present day, documenting the development of the dress and textile arts in different regions of Palestine during the 19th and early 20th centuries. The book is adorned with over five hundred color photographs from the renowned Farah and Hanan Munir Collection, including embroidered textiles, traditional dresses, women's village headwear, abayas, coats, belts, and men's shoes. The book comprises 552 full-color pages with a hard cover.

The book "A Guide to Palestinian Embroidery" is the result of a collaborative effort by two Palestinian visual artists, Suleiman Mansour and Nabil Anani. This endeavor spanned several years of theoretical study, field research, drawing, and sketching. The book includes a theoretical chapter serving as a general introduction to understanding the nature, history, development, and functions of Palestinian embroidery. It also features 642 patterns derived from Palestinian embroidery motifs found on dozens of pieces of traditional Palestinian clothing.

It is a blank canvas made of durable, high-strength cotton fabric called canvas, specially designed to serve as an art canvas for embroiderers and creators. This type of fabric is characterized by the stability of its fibers and its lack of stretching, which ensures that the stitches and hand designs remain straight and taut over time. Its plain, natural-colored background provides an ideal contrast that highlights the details of the colorful embroidery threads, making it a practical and fully customizable piece.

The author, Wadaw Kamel Qawar, wrote the book "Palestinian Embroidery" in English.

The book is not just a picture book, but a "practical guide" specifically designed to preserve the "peasant stitch" (cross stitch) and protect it from extinction or cultural theft, by presenting it in a precise geometric style that is easy to teach to new generations and non-Arabic speakers.

The set includes: four threads in different colors, a piece of Turkish embroidery fabric, embroidery needles with a pattern printer, and an embroidery hoop.

It is a very long, straight metal needle, characterized by a uniform thickness from beginning to end (cylindrical), and a blunt tip. It is used to make fine handmade necklace lace.
